This site shows range of items designed and hand crafted by Immy in his Cardiff workshop. Many are unique in that they come from, and are inspired by a particular piece of wood.

 

Immy’s woodcraft produces high quality wooden gifts as well as functional and sculptural wooden items. Most are “turned” on a lathe and made from sustainable Welsh hardwoods be that re-cycled or from the Wentwood forest or Ruperra wood. A personal favourite are barrel staves from the Penderyn Whisky Distillery that Immy usually crafts into pens - these make a fantastic gift for him, her, the Best Man, etc.

Wood finishes traditionally contain beeswax, nut oils, shellac and resins. Plant based waxes can be used on request.

 

Immy loves a challenge and has made items from wood that has a special meaning to its owner. He has worked with interior designer to use specific woods in centre piece multi-wood bowls that can be seen here. Yes, commissions and challenges are always welcome – please contact him.
